Chiddy Bang – Ray Charles + (Skeet Skeet Remix) : Sick Video and Chill Moombahton Remix

Chiddy bang coming through with another smash hit. Off the duo’s debut album, Breakfast is the soulful homage to the great Ray Charles. Chiddy was quoted saying, “The song actually started out as a joke when my brother, Cheeseburger Don, got so high he fell asleep in the studio with his sunglasses on,” says Chiddy. “I looked over and he reminded me of Ray Charles, probably because I was high, too. I started freestyling about him and we laid it down right there.”

Buy this track on iTunes.

As a bonus I am going to give you the moombahton remix of the same song. It is really laid back and has crowd pleaser written all over it. It is a little faster paced, but with a chill moombahton melody. Put this one on your summer playlist for sure.

Zedd – Stars Come Out + (Datsik Remix) + (Dillon Francis Remix) : Electro House Original With Dubstep / Moobahton Remixes

German beast of a producer Zedd is back with another new anthem. This time he releases the track on Steve Aoki’s label Dim Mak, the same one he released Dovrogrubben on. This track combines Zedd’s signature hard hitting sounds with a more club friendly / huge festival feel. This seems like a great direction for Zedd, and will allow his tracks get played in even bigger settings. The more I listen to it, the more I love this track.

Next up is Datsik’s remix of the same song and if you missed it I posted about him recently. Still containing a lot of the upbeat electro house vibes. However, Datisk being the crazy dubstep artist he is, drops the happy go-lucky house into some filthy melodic dubstep / glitch that will send chills. I like how he mixed it up by keeping a lot of the original intact thus keeping the strong house anthem feel without over doing the dubstep. It is worth a look and a download.

Now lastly I have the emerging DJ named Dillon Francis. He is the man that is bringing Moombahton to the mainstream and believe me when I say he is doing this with the utmost style. Now his Moombah remix of Zedd’s Stars Come Out displays how he slows down the overall BPM and then adds his signature style of heavy electro mixed with some moobahton percussions to make this a savvy new version of an already amazing song. Certainly my favorite of the three.

Moombahton Monday #2

I am brining you two tracks from the creator of moombahton, Dave Nada. He has collaborated with Matt Nordstrom. They made up Nadastrom, essentially a mash up of their last names. Anyways, I have two tracks that are polar opposites. One is a party ranger and the other is a chill track to cure your hangover. Come to the think of it they are not opposites they are complimentary to one another. Blah blah blah, listen up.

This track is one that I can play for hours on end and never once tire of it. It builds with a chop of some reggae sounds/vocals and the drop around 1:10 is a bass filled banger with a lot of cool stabs and dubstep pops. It is certainly one of those songs that is a must for any summertime playlist. Needless to say it will get people moving. Personal favorite Moombahton track to date!

Preferably, be on some tropical beach sipping a drink with a little umbrella, and watch that tide roll in. Nothing more.

Moombahton Monday #1

There is a new genre that has amazing new possibilities for the EDM scene. It is called moombahton, and in a nutshell it is reggaeton mixed with EDM, pop, hip-hop pretty much anything you can think of. Hence why I think this new genre is so damn versatile and catchy as all hell. It was created by Dave Nada and the new genre is starting to catch some attention. More power to it.

First up we have Dr. Dre and Snoop rapping over a fast paced moombah version of the song “Still D.R.E.” Between the vocals and the moombahton, this track bangs and is an amazing throwback remix. My words don’t quite give it justice. Just fucking listen.

Next up is one of the very first moombahton tracks I have ever heard and it is one that I will never forget. It is a remix of Oasis’ “Wonderwall” and it gives a new/amazing perspective on an old favorite. Do not underestimate this track, it FUCKING bangs!
