Pretty Lights just released “You Get High” today, and as usual it does not disappoint. It is real soulful and has a little 70’s funk to it that reminds me of nice, fat, afros.  He is set to release a new album in the near future so be prepared for that my friends.  Here is a recap of the NYE’s celebration at the first bank center in Colorado which also incorporates the new song.  This video captures that show amazingly because that was one of his best shows to date.  As you are all aware of he is coming to Red Rocks in the summer and tickets are already sold out, so I guess, never mind; I’m sure they will turn up on craigslist and stubhub and other places for 459% of the original price.

Off of Gucci Mane’s newest mixtape, I’m Up that will be out May 26th, comes this killer track Cyeah Cyeah Cyeah. With powerful vocals coming from Chris Brown and Lil’ Wayne, this track is massive to say the least. All these rap juggernauts on a FREE track is more than most could ask for.

Fred Falke the French house producer comes out with an outlandishly great song. Remixing Theophilus London’s Love is Real keeps all the hip hop intact, but add so much to the dance-ability of this track. The female vocals plus the upbeat house feel makes this a must hear. Keep an eye of Theophilus London, for I believe he is the next Kid Cudi.

The Dean’s List teamed up with the melodic Dani Ummel to create another smooth track. Hollywood is a great song with awesome engineering and unique lyrics. Hip hop these days is getting almost ridiculous with rappers going off non-stop about how much weed they smoke, how many loose females they have acquired, just music that just gets old. The Dean’s List is in a genre of their own and create music that you can simply just vibe to. Put this in a summer playlist for sure.
