Modestep is a Dubstep group from London that complete shreds face. They represent the homeland of Dubstep well with there disgusting bassbourne tracks. I can assure you that this group will go to town on your face and leave you exhilarated.

German beast of a producer Zedd is back with another new anthem. This time he releases the track on Steve Aoki’s label Dim Mak, the same one he released Dovrogrubben on. This track combines Zedd’s signature hard hitting sounds with a more club friendly / huge festival feel. This seems like a great direction for Zedd, and will allow his tracks get played in even bigger settings. The more I listen to it, the more I love this track.

Next up is Datsik’s remix of the same song and if you missed it I posted about him recently. Still containing a lot of the upbeat electro house vibes. However, Datisk being the crazy dubstep artist he is, drops the happy go-lucky house into some filthy melodic dubstep / glitch that will send chills. I like how he mixed it up by keeping a lot of the original intact thus keeping the strong house anthem feel without over doing the dubstep. It is worth a look and a download.

Now lastly I have the emerging DJ named Dillon Francis. He is the man that is bringing Moombahton to the mainstream and believe me when I say he is doing this with the utmost style. Now his Moombah remix of Zedd’s Stars Come Out displays how he slows down the overall BPM and then adds his signature style of heavy electro mixed with some moobahton percussions to make this a savvy new version of an already amazing song. Certainly my favorite of the three.

Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino is an amazing lyricist. Not only that, but he tends to DJ his own tracks. Needless to say he is a multifaceted individual. Also, he has been featured here on Crossfaded plenty of times, most recently on our Welcome Back post. Off his newest mixtape “Camp” he drops Heartbeat and this song has such a soft intro that drops into heavy electro segments that make this song a juggernaut. He incorporates fast paced rapping over a sick melody. It is amazing how he can convey such great arrogance over his tracks. I find it to be such an interesting take on the rap genre. Also, the video is sick as hell and is worth a view.

Next up is the Proper Villains remix of Heartbeat brings forth a gnarly dubstep remix and it hits hard. It is a good mix of hard melodic dubstep and constant wobbles. This song can be enjoyed both driving around and at a dance party. With that sort of versatility it is obvious that Proper Villains has been refining his view on how dubstep should be produced. Last but certainly not least is the remix done by The Golden Pony. A relatively unknown artist who has some amazing potential. With his version of Heartbeat he gives the song a complete makeover and makes it into a great dance/pop song that will make any crowd go wild. It is fast paced happy-go-lucky take on this song. It has very fun synths and nice transitions that will keep you guessing. The Golden Pony delivers big time with this remix, so, give him some love on his Facebook and Soundcloud.
