My ears are still ringing from Global Dub Festival at Red Rocks because that was one of the greatest shows of all time.  My cast was shattered and my wrist broke in another place because the bass was hitting to fucking hard.  I tip my hat to Datsik, Doctor P, and Flux Pavilion for throwing down so heavily, and today I bring you a few songs that were played at that show.  The first being “Superbad” from Doctor P, who played this fairly early in his set to pump the crowd up, which brings back awesome memories of the movie.

This next song I bring you is the 3rd biggest highlight of the night, the second being Flux dropping a new song for Red Rocks, which I can’t wait for or remember for several related reasons which I can’t tell you.  Doctor P stopped his set and started playing the Tetris theme song and the whole place erupted. Doctor P is truly one of the best mixers out there and his live sets prove why, so if you ever get the chance to see him then don’t miss the opportunity.

Finally I bring you the best part of Flux’s show, when he dropped his and Doctor P remix of DJ Fresh’s “Louder.”  Never have I heard Red Rocks go this ham.  I know this song is older so stop crying because this song is awesome, don’t worry, I’ll have new new music tomorrow for your schmeckles.  I’ll post the after video as soon as it is up, until then, enjoy responsibly.

Today I bring you some of dubstep which falls on the extra dirty/heavy of the spectrum. The first being a rather new song by Datsik that should become excessively popular soon. Earlier in the year Kaskade and Skrillex collaborated on a unique song called “Lick It” for Kaskades Fire and Ice album. The original is has a driving feel to it that can keep a party crackin’ but Datsik’s version takes an EPIC left turn once it drops and I’ll be honest took me by surprise. I want to hear this song live when Datsik comes with Flux and Dcotor P to Red Rocks this summer because this song will get a massive roar. So please enjoy responsibly.

And for the second song I bring you Gemini’s original “Elavate.” My friend form England played this song for me one night at a house party and at this point I didn’t want to hear another dubstep song. But he promised me a huge song if I let it reach the drop and when it did, I literally started crying tears of joy. I have nothing else to say about this song because it is so good. – The Schmeckle

German beast of a producer Zedd is back with another new anthem. This time he releases the track on Steve Aoki’s label Dim Mak, the same one he released Dovrogrubben on. This track combines Zedd’s signature hard hitting sounds with a more club friendly / huge festival feel. This seems like a great direction for Zedd, and will allow his tracks get played in even bigger settings. The more I listen to it, the more I love this track.

Next up is Datsik’s remix of the same song and if you missed it I posted about him recently. Still containing a lot of the upbeat electro house vibes. However, Datisk being the crazy dubstep artist he is, drops the happy go-lucky house into some filthy melodic dubstep / glitch that will send chills. I like how he mixed it up by keeping a lot of the original intact thus keeping the strong house anthem feel without over doing the dubstep. It is worth a look and a download.

Now lastly I have the emerging DJ named Dillon Francis. He is the man that is bringing Moombahton to the mainstream and believe me when I say he is doing this with the utmost style. Now his Moombah remix of Zedd’s Stars Come Out displays how he slows down the overall BPM and then adds his signature style of heavy electro mixed with some moobahton percussions to make this a savvy new version of an already amazing song. Certainly my favorite of the three.

Ready for some face melting dubstep? I know I am, and you should be too.

The British producer Doctor P is know for his heavy bass filled dubstep. Ed Sheeran’s song Drunk add such a great compliment Doctor P’s style. However, the remix takes a different route and creates a soft electronic build up that is immediately overshadowed by his filthy dubstep. The contrast of the fast paced electronics and dubstep creates such a dynamic song. This song can be enjoyed by fans and newcomers alike. Show Doctor P some love on his facebook. Lightspeed starts with a electronic house build up that leads into a massive drop that goes into some glitchy dubstep.
