DnB Delight

For those of you who are new to the music scene DnB is drum and bass. Which means that the song will contain drums and/or bass. What a crazy phenomenon. Anyways, this is a perfect workout song in my opinion. Despite the fact that I’m not the biggest fan of drum and bass, this song caught my attention with its fast paced beat and vocal compliments. Yeah so like check it out and shit.

Mashup Monday #12

Let me just say that you are in for a real treat today. (I feel like I say that all the time.) I have two mashups for your listening pleasure. The common theme today is the mash artist DJs From Mars as well as the very talented Rihanna. Now this first song put the DJs From Mars on the map and it is one helluva good song. It has so much depth to it in the way that in a 4 minute song it has everything from a dance party to a total chill sesh. It is a cluster fuck of sounds that will cause uncontrollable eargasms. (Oops, just eargasmed, not to mention in public…)

Rihanna vs UB40 – Rude Boy (DJs From Mars FM Rmx)

Got a dull party? Let me help you fix that with another mashup from our Martian DJs, and this song is, dare I say, perfect for any dance party. It has a strong bass and electronic feel to get the whole dance floor moving. And to try and sell you further I really enjoy the contribution from Rihanna, without her this song would not have the same allure. So check it out.

Rihanna vs. Faithless – Only Insomnia In The World (DJs From Mars FM Rmx)

“I don’t always listen to music, but when I do, I prefer Crossfaded. Stay thirsty, my friends.”

Couldn’t have said it better myself. So thank you guy from the Dos Equis commercials.

Hungover?

Of course you are. So relax and cure it with the song that says it all.

Funny, but true.

Nicki Minaj

Yup, she gets her own post. I can’t quite explain why her sound is so appealing to me. Maybe the sexy voice, or possibly the sick beats, or just the fact that she is a really catchy artist. I don’t know, but she is quite amazing. So the first song is “Letting Go” originally done by Sean Kingston. Luckily Sean Kingston does not contribute anything to this remix. Cue sigh of relief. Anyways, the beat is super catchy and it compliments Nicki’s vocals too well. By the way there is a lot of bass to the song so crank dat shit son. (Don’t worry I will never repeat that phrase ever again.)

Next up is another jaunty tune by Nicki, and it has a lot of shit going on that can keep me captivated. Another plus is the fact that the song is produced by JR and he always contributes to amazing songs. Not much more to say, check it out.

She has a new album out, buy that shit. Stay up.

This post is dedicated to my good friend Saad, because I know how much you love Nicki.

Back in action

So I’ve been MIA for quite some time, but I’m back. So let’s get this dog and pony show on the road. First off is a song by Riot !n Paris and it is a cover of the Red Hot Chili Pepper’s song “Under the Bridge.” Totally new perspective of an old classic. For me it has been on repeat for quite some time and I can’t seem to get sick of this song. So check it.

Jay-Z and Marvin Gaye – Hello Brooklyn (feat. Lil Wayne)

To keep the theme of Brooklyn going I have a real treat from Jay-Z. I’m not the biggest fan of Jay-Z and his style, but this song is featuring Lil’ Wayne and Marvin Gaye and it adds just the right amount of flare to keep me interested. Hope you guys like it as much as I do.
