Special Features Remixes of In My Mind + Strobe + Feel so Close

First of all, happy thirsty Thursday to everyone, today I bring you some remixes from a London artists named Special Features. His sound is one of a kind that is very much party worthy. Special features manages to keep the feel of the original song but ads his very own upbeat flair. Play these songs for your friends and they will be sure to break out and throw a mini or massive dance party, which ever you are feeling.  The first of three songs I bring you is his remix of Axwell’s – In My Mind, and this remix is just as massive as the original

Assuming you have some sort of knowledge of electronic music, then you have heard Strobe by Deadmau5.  And if you are like me, you have listened to it over 699 times because it is one of the best songs ever made.  This remix puts a surprisingly happy twist to the epic original.  This version takes the original and adds a perfect amount of synthesizer to it and I must say makes me want to move.  So please enjoy.

Zedd – Stars Come Out + (Datsik Remix) + (Dillon Francis Remix) : Electro House Original With Dubstep / Moobahton Remixes

German beast of a producer Zedd is back with another new anthem. This time he releases the track on Steve Aoki’s label Dim Mak, the same one he released Dovrogrubben on. This track combines Zedd’s signature hard hitting sounds with a more club friendly / huge festival feel. This seems like a great direction for Zedd, and will allow his tracks get played in even bigger settings. The more I listen to it, the more I love this track.

Next up is Datsik’s remix of the same song and if you missed it I posted about him recently. Still containing a lot of the upbeat electro house vibes. However, Datisk being the crazy dubstep artist he is, drops the happy go-lucky house into some filthy melodic dubstep / glitch that will send chills. I like how he mixed it up by keeping a lot of the original intact thus keeping the strong house anthem feel without over doing the dubstep. It is worth a look and a download.

Now lastly I have the emerging DJ named Dillon Francis. He is the man that is bringing Moombahton to the mainstream and believe me when I say he is doing this with the utmost style. Now his Moombah remix of Zedd’s Stars Come Out displays how he slows down the overall BPM and then adds his signature style of heavy electro mixed with some moobahton percussions to make this a savvy new version of an already amazing song. Certainly my favorite of the three.

Alexander Holland – City Full Of Lights (Gigamesh Remix) + Grimes – Genesis : Funky Indie

Hailing from Minnesota Gigamesh is a indie dance power house. A notable accomplishment of this producer is his involvement in Mike Posner’s success. Gigamesh remixed Cooler Than Me which ended up being the number one single from his album 31 Minutes To Take Off and needless to say it was a hit. From that Gigamesh has gained a ton of fame in the indie dance world and continues to grow. This remix of Alexander Holland’s City Full Of Lights is no exception, in fact it is pure gold. Giving a soft 80’s electro vibe to this amazing indie song just gives it a funky out look that can be enjoyed all the time. If you like what you hear, be sure to drop Gigamesh a line and show some support on his Facebook and Soundcloud.

Next is an amazingly complex artist, Claire Boucher, that goes by the name of Grimes. Mixing and matching styles creates flexibility in what she can produce and that makes her infinitely more intriguing. Her soft rhythmic voice mixed with indie dance is nothing short of amazing. It is so elegantly beautiful, yet so simple. That is why I had to share this with you. Still up and coming she needs your support, so show it on her Facebook!

“There is a powerful harmony in Grimes. It is a project which is both musical and visual, embodying the arts of 2D, performance, dance, video and sound. Claire Boucher weaves these together to a strong rhythmic effect, ‘the marriage between the voice of a human and the heartbeat of a machine.'” – Bullett Magazine
