I first discovered The Prototypes through this awesome remix. This DJ duo has been on the fast track to fame by becoming one of the most recognized names in the new breed of drum and bass artists. They were recently signed to the Shogun Audio label, and with this support there are big things to come from these two. Keep an ear out and give em some love on Facebook.
I liked The Prototypes remix so much I decided to give the original a try and WOW. DJ Friction has been around a while making his mark on drum & bass with over 70 releases to his name. He also heads up his own record label, Shogun Audio, the same label that picked up The Prototypes!! The guys dubbed StereoHeroes are best described as French dance floor ass kickers, and their not shy to admit it. If your stateside and haven’t heard of them don’t worry your not alone but if you think thats a reason to discredit them, you are seriously wrong! The dynamic duo’s recently release The Order Mixtape is a follow up to last years release of The Conspiracy Mixtape which was nothing short of a success. The order begins with face melting heavy tracks that should make you feel like Jason Statham in Crank, but their mix is not one dimensional as it grows into the more familiar french sound and flows with pumping peaks and harmonic valleys. Perhaps StereoHeroes describe the genre of the mix tape best as “Super-Comic-Electro-Crunk”.
