Mako – Beam (Original Mix) / Huge Progressive House

Well everyone, my cast is finally off so I can start giving you better write ups and more music weekly.  Sorry for my absence in bringing all of your happy faces the greatest gift man has ever created, music, and I promise to bring more and more music in these coming days, weeks, and months.  So today I bring you but one song and boy is it a fire cracker.  In todays world, simplicity in design and in taste can be the key to success, for example Avicii has risen to success on some really catchy, simple, yet massive songs that have melted peoples faces and hearts around the world.  It is my pleasure to introduce two Los-Angeles based producers who have been quietly playing around the country and opening for the likes of Wolfgang Gartner and Afrojack.  Mako, also known as Logan Light and Alex Seaver, are a two man team who are abundant in musical talent and practiced in their trade. Their track “Beam” is perfect example of the massive sound they are capable of producing, not to mention the uplifting melody, and a chorus just meant for building up a massive crowd.  It starts of quiet with a great keyboard line and some orchestral synths which gives a nice floating feeling, and from here the song builds and builds nice and slow, very happily might I add, until 1.50 when the main chorus starts and brings the song to a whole new level.  Once here the songs never looks back and continues into a beautifully composed track.  I look forward to see what the future holds for Mako.  As always, enjoy responsibly.

Armin Van Buuren – We Are Here To Make Some Noise + Danny Saucedo – Amazing (Maison & Dragen remix) : Progressive House

I have been in a happy mood as of late so I guess I will post some progressive house for your schmeckles.  The first being “We Are Here To Make Some Noise” by the one and only Armin Van Buuren.  He played a song similar to this in his Ultra set and he finally mastered it and put it out for everyone earlier in May.  This has typical massiveness like all of Armins songs do, and is overall just a wonderful song.  The main synth line is very catchy and dance worthy, again, much like all of his songs.  There isn’t much else to say about this song because Armin does all of the talking with his beats.

The next song is an energetic remix of Danny Saucedo’s “Amazing” by the Finnish group Maison & Dragen.  This is a poppy track with an extremely catchy chorus and a definite dance feel to it giving it mass appeal.  Maison & Dragen are climbing to fame rather quickly and their is no surprise there, their original “Rio De Janeiro” and remix of Martin Solveig’s “Night Out”  have made it on the top 25 of the charts on Beatport.  So look out for these Finns to take over the Swedish music scene before you know it.

Nilson & The 8th Note – By Tonight + Alesso – Silenced By The Night : Big Room Progressive House

Well schmeckles, considering I just broke my wrist, I won’t have much of a write up for a while, but nevertheless I will still bring you new music, with one hand.  The first is a clubmix from Nilson & The 8th Note called “By Tonight,” this is such a massive track that big room progressive house seems like to small of a name for it.  So for full effect, play on big room speakers, not little itty bitty titty committee speakers.

Buy it on Beatport.

Alesso’s sound is continually getting better and better with every song he makes, and this track is a perfect example of said statement.  Gotta love it because this song has such a loving feeling that if you aren’t in a good mood after listening, then I would say you are a cold hearted idiot.  Here is some Alesso I featured in a previous post.

Deadmau5 – The Veldt feat. Chris James (8 Minute Edit) + Closer (Revision 2) : Progressive House

Finally Deadmau5 is back to his roots of Progressive House and Electronic music.  There aren’t many words to describe The Veldt because the beat, lyrics, chorus, and singing all provide a fantastic song.

Closer is again another classic.  The first build is nice, slow and epic and leads into a smooth beat with a typical Deadmau5 weightless sensation.  It then moves back to a variation of the first build which then drops and is again amazing.  I can’t wait for Deadmau5 to put out some more tunes so he can go back on tour and put on another spectacular show because his live shows are arguably the greatest in the world.
