Chiddy bang coming through with another smash hit. Off the duo’s debut album, Breakfast is the soulful homage to the great Ray Charles. Chiddy was quoted saying, “The song actually started out as a joke when my brother, Cheeseburger Don, got so high he fell asleep in the studio with his sunglasses on,” says Chiddy. “I looked over and he reminded me of Ray Charles, probably because I was high, too. I started freestyling about him and we laid it down right there.”
As a bonus I am going to give you the moombahton remix of the same song. It is really laid back and has crowd pleaser written all over it. It is a little faster paced, but with a chill moombahton melody. Put this one on your summer playlist for sure.

Foreign Beggars have been featured here at Crossfaded Music before with their collaboration with Flux Pavillion and SKisM titled Jump Back. The talented British hip-hop/grime/dubstep group based in London have brought us one of the most infectious beats in 2012 with the release of their forthcoming album “The Uprising” and their new single ‘Palm Of My Hand’. With an array of electronic and equally minimalistic percussive instrumentation, the Kid Kanevil produced track delivers a complete domination of rhythm.

Well today I’ve got the latest track from Mac Miller’s newest mixtape Macadelic. Mac has been featured once before here on Crossfaded. He has rose so fast it is nothing short of insanity. He is breaking into the more mainstream feel with this track. Which entails him talking about his diamonds, women and drugs. That is what the rap game is all about, right? Well the whole mainstream friendly sound is working for now, but hopefully he gets back to his roots and produces something a little more Macadelic. Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino is an amazing lyricist. Not only that, but he tends to DJ his own tracks. Needless to say he is a multifaceted individual. Also, he has been featured here on Crossfaded plenty of times, most recently on our Welcome Back post. Off his newest mixtape “Camp” he drops Heartbeat and this song has such a soft intro that drops into heavy electro segments that make this song a juggernaut. He incorporates fast paced rapping over a sick melody. It is amazing how he can convey such great arrogance over his tracks. I find it to be such an interesting take on the rap genre. Also, the video is sick as hell and is worth a view.
Next up is the Proper Villains remix of Heartbeat brings forth a gnarly dubstep remix and it hits hard. It is a good mix of hard melodic dubstep and constant wobbles. This song can be enjoyed both driving around and at a dance party. With that sort of versatility it is obvious that Proper Villains has been refining his view on how dubstep should be produced. Last but certainly not least is the remix done by The Golden Pony. A relatively unknown artist who has some amazing potential. With his version of Heartbeat he gives the song a complete makeover and makes it into a great dance/pop song that will make any crowd go wild. It is fast paced happy-go-lucky take on this song. It has very fun synths and nice transitions that will keep you guessing. The Golden Pony delivers big time with this remix, so, give him some love on his Facebook and Soundcloud.
