Porter Robinson- bootlegs/matchups: Dubstep: Mashup

I give to you a little Porter Robinson re-mastery. Four tracks coming from live sets. The first is a redone version of his popular track Spitfire. The second is his take on Flux Pavilion’s-Bass Cannon. The last two tracks are matchups. The first is a combo of Deadmau5-Some Chords & hard intro Ghosts n Stuff, and Noisia-Machine Gun. The final track is a combo of Deadmau5-Arguru, Wolfgang Gartner-The Champ, and his own tracks Vandalism and The Seconds. Check out more of his music on soundcloud!

Alex Clare – Too Close: Dubstep: Drum & Bass

This track comes off The Lateness of the Hour which is this British songwriter’s debut album. Too Close preceded this album as a single but was included into the full length album line up. If it sounds familiar a snippet of it was featured in a commercial for Microsoft and Internet Explorer. This is what made me want to hear the rest of this track! His voice is very soulful and the lyrics combined with instrumental dubstep / electronic make for a very pleasing experience for the ears. Feed Me – Relocation & Strange Behaviour ft. Tasha Baxter: Progressive: Dubstep

Feed Me ranks as one of my all time favorite dubstep creators. The first track I bring you shows how talented he is with the dub art. Strange Behavior is tied together with the unique vocals of Tasha Baxter heightening that tingly feeling from the dub drops to the melodic development of her voice. The second track come off of his latest EP Escape From Electric Mountain Which, under the influence of mau5trap productions, takes his sound in a completely new direction. Again he proves himself as a god when it comes to dubstep on this EP with the track Whiskers developed along with Gemini which was featured earlier here at Crossfaded Music. Relocation is a side of Feed Me just emerging and I personally love the trance feel to it. He also works with the likes of Hadouken! and Lindsay among the 6 original mix tracks on this EP. Check it out in its entirety on beatport! Show em some love on Facebook!

P.S. I love the album artwork for this EP!

StepTech & Dirt Monkey – GO : Sick New Dubstep

I had to piggie back my last post so here is a new song by StepTech and Dirt Monkey, both local Boulder DJs, called “Go,” this is some extra filth for you and be warned, you might have to take a shower afterwords because its so dirty.  It starts out nice and slow, like any good dubstep song, once it builds and you hear “GO,” you know you are in for some heavy shit.  StepTech is gaining popularity quickly because this song is off Dirt Monkey’s new EP In The Place which is electric!  We also featured StepTech not to long ago here. Gotta rep the Boulder hometown love, keep up the sick tunes Steptech!  Make sure you buy it on Beatport and get it on the top 25!!
