Mashup Monday #18

Welcome to Mashup Monday! I’ve got some kick ass songs for you today. (Ain’t that swell?)

First up is a masher hailing from Brenton Duvall, the Boulder native. And as usual he has produced a killer track. Per usual. It has the Indie rapper Javelin mixed with a bit of Lil Jon. I have been listening to this song on repeat for a while and you’ll soon see why.

Next up is a mashup of Porter Robinson, Lil Jon, Pitbull and Ludacris. With a line up like that, it is hard to ignore it. Be forewarned, this song bangs hards, so I would recommend putting it on some big ass speakers and cranking up the bass.

BMAK – I Know Less in Here (Pitbull, Porter Robinson, Lil Jon, Ludacris)

Lastly, is a dubstep mashup with a lot of energy. It doesn’t drop fully until 1 minute in, but it provides some sick lyrics from Fat Joe and Lil Wayne. With the beat provided by the song ‘Act Like You Know” from Nero mixed with a bit of ‘Bass Down Low” by the The Cataracs with a sprinkle of Gaga. Such a sick mixer/lineup.

Get some.

All Things RAGER!

The title doesn’t lie. Ever. Today’s post is to get you ready for the parties this weekend and SPRING BREAK that is right around the corner!!! HOLY SHIT, FUCK YEAH! (My sentiments precisely.)

Anyways on to the music. First song is Timbaland featuring Justin Timberlake and it is titled ‘Carry Out’ and it fucking bangs. Although, I haven’t heard the original, this one would make it sound like absolute shit, because this song has the ability to get the whole party poppin’. Strong clubbing feel with perfect vocal compliments. So mad props to Cryptex for the sick remix. What more could you want for your party? (Girls?) Well, fucking play this song and they will flock to the party. (Girls can’t resist JT.)

Next up is another killer track from Kid Cudi called ‘Cudi Zone’ and as always it is a perfect party song. So it is more about the remix which is done by Killa Graham that turns Cudi’s song into a true rager. Hard driving bass line with a strong electro topper is a perfect combo for a party song, but enough of me creaming over this track. You check it out.

Next is a strong club rager hailing from the DJs Steve Aoki and Laidback Luke and normally I am not the biggest fan of Aoki, but mixed with the uniqueness of Luke causes one helluva rager. Side note, Lil Jon is featured as well, and says a few words in there, but nothing to mention from him. The drop doesn’t come in until ~1:40 so give it some time, it is well worth it my friend. This is a song that will get everyone’s fist up in the air with a sprinkle of bumping and/or grinding. Or whatever you kids call it these days.

Last one is a song that has mediocre lyrics, but if you are blasting this at a party, who is going to sit there and analyze the lyrics? However, the redeeming quality of this song is the Disco Fries that remix it and give it a beat that drives hard and has great power for any party playlist. Give it a full listen since I kinda gave it a mixed review.

I can guarantee these will be on your playlist for Spring Break.

PORTER ROBINSON! 3 Sick Ass Bangers!

Porter Robinson is a fucking prodigy. People doubt his talent because of his “lack of experience,” but I must disagree wholeheartedly, he is easily in the class of Deadmau5 and Wolfgang Gartner. His sound is infiltrating clubs and blogs worldwide. Porter Robinson definitely has talent. His mixes are well crafted and hold their own amongst other greats of a similar nature. And the fact that he is so young he has plenty of time to settle in and find his own groove. My setlists without a doubt will have at least one Porter Robinson track. ( = Personal favorite.)

Top tier DJ and so much room to improve. (Yeah, that good.)

Wobble Wednesday #6

I have an awesome treat for you today, hailing from my favorite female artist Ellie Goulding. Her voice just meshes so well with any and all electronic songs. This time she is paired with the artist Tinie Tempah that has a rapping style that does great with electro as well. So it would only make sense that these artists come together for some strong bangers. Anyways, today I have the song ‘Wonderman’ for you and I have two remixes of it. So which should I post? (If you want to keep us happy you’ll post both.) Well fine reader I guess I’ll just post them both and let you decide which one tickles your fancy.
