This track comes off The Lateness of the Hour which is this British songwriter’s debut album. Too Close preceded this album as a single but was included into the full length album line up. If it sounds familiar a snippet of it was featured in a commercial for Microsoft and Internet Explorer. This is what made me want to hear the rest of this track! His voice is very soulful and the lyrics combined with instrumental dubstep / electronic make for a very pleasing experience for the ears. Wideboys have exclusively released the music video for their new song “The Word” to few people so I figured why not let you guys see it as well.  They consist of Eddie Craig & Jim Sullivan who hail from the UK and have been DJing for quite sometime now.  This track has a sound to it that reminds me of Daft Punk, and when a song reminds you of Daft Punk then you know it is something special.  This is an amazingly composed song, it has a great pulsing dance feel to it with fantastic guitar riffs to it that give this song mass appeal.  I expect the Wideboys to become massive after this song.  You heard it first right here on Crossfaded Music!  And don’t freak out, don’t freak out I say, but I have the download for this song and it hasn’t been released yet.  Check their Soundcloud out for more tunes.

Miike Snow’s original track Black & Blue has a lot of cool and creative elements, but Netsky’s Drum & Bass remix just takes it to a whole new level.

Well everyone, with the ending of school, thirsty thursday is no longer reserved for thursday and has instead moved to Monday through Sunday due to the random nature of summer.  But this won’t stop me from providing you with awesome bangers on thursdays. So the first song I bring to you is a drum and bass track called Out the Blue from Sub Focus. Drum and Bass always provides a fast upbeat tempo to dance to, but Out the Blue has a lighter feel to it because of the softer lyrics and lighter chorus line. The second song for your schmeckles is a remix of Follow U by Trolly Snatcha, who just recently came out with a new EP titled Subtext.  This isn’t from the EP but is a massive track nevertheless.  Sometimes the vocals have the ability to make or break a song and this is the latter because without Yogi’s lyrics this song just isn’t the same.  I am going to be real here, the original version of this song is a weak, besides the vocals, attempt to make a dubstep song, but Trolly Snatcha says nay and provides one hell of a dubstep song.  This is one UK dubstep master I will be keeping track of in the future.
